Circles come to Flynt. Company circles to find your colleagues, your own with the organising handled, and group nights coming to London this autumn.
TL;DR: Circles is now live. It's a new part of Flynt for the groups in your working life: find your colleagues, make circles with people you want to keep seeing, and soon, meet new people in small groups picked for you.
When we started Flynt, we began with one idea:
Connect two people, from two companies, and have it be so good that they want to do it again.
That was the spark that started the idea, but the introduction was always meant to be the start, not the whole product. The longer-term vision has been a place where your working relationships live and grow over time, not just where they begin.
Our members pointed the way. The most common feedback from day one has been some version of "great match, I'd love to see them again". It's almost word for word what Oscar said after meeting Amie, our very first match twelve months ago. Circles is our first proper answer to this need. It adds a group dimension to Flynt alongside the 1:1, so the people you meet, and the people you already know, have somewhere to stay. There are three types, two live today and one on the way.
Your company circle is already there, no setup needed. It shows you who else from your company is on Flynt. It's a small update, but a surprisingly powerful one. Most of Flynt is personal, you meet matches 1:1 and build a profile as an individual. Seeing familiar faces from your own company makes the whole product feel more like a shared place. You can wave, connect with people you know, and invite colleagues to Flynt directly from your company circle.
The circles you make yourself. Pick a group of up to six, counting you, and a rhythm – every couple of months, quarterly, or twice a year. Flynt does the organising from there. We propose the times, gather availability, and book whoever can make it, the same way we already handle your monthly matches. Over time, we want Flynt to become the home for all your recurring catch-ups. We’ll suggest times, find venues, and book the table, so the get-togethers with your favourite people simply happen, without anyone having to be the organiser. A few details we like. Circles sit directly in your calendar, giving you one view of the rhythm of all your regular catch-ups. We send the invitations, not you. Just set it up, choose your people, and we'll handle the rest. And we've kept it deliberately low-key. There's no pressure to post, and quiet between catch-ups is completely normal. If the catch-ups themselves stop happening, the circle winds down gracefully: the rhythm softens, and a circle that's run its course simply rests rather than lingering as another dead group chat.
The third type is on its way. This autumn we're trialling circles nights in London, an evening at a good pub where we reserve a few tables and seat you with people we think you'll get on with. If a table clicks, we'll help it keep going. Members will get an invitation in the app when the first round opens.
