Scaling Flynt to connect millions across diverse set of disciplines without any loss in quality that makes every match count.

TL;DR: Two months ago I joined Flynt as CTO with one clear mission — make sure what we're building can scale to millions without losing the quality that makes it valuable. Networking isn't a one-size-fits-all challenge as a founder, a designer and a consultant don't need the same thing and together with Heldiney & Ivan, I'm here to make sure our platform can serve all of them, at scale, without compromise.
I've been building software for more than 10 years and it still amazes me how fast the tech landscape has changed in that time, especially in the last few years with the wide adoption of large language models. I still remember the days of manually writing HTML & CSS to power static websites and the small joy of discovering how to make buttons rounded with CSS. I believe the gap between idea and execution is shorter than ever, but a sharp idea, well timed and well built, still wins. Apart from building products, I have a deep passion in photography (my Unsplash profile) which started since my university years and I'm intentionally keeping it as a hobby so that I can freely go after landscapes and memories that inspire me.
I think Flynt addresses a genuine gap. Networking has become noisier, social media turned it into a likes game, large-scale events price out most professionals and reward those who can work a crowded room and quality opportunities keep concentrating around capital cities like London, leaving remote professionals and those outside major hubs increasingly behind. Flynt cuts through all of that by offering a curated network that carefully matches individuals, so our members can connect 1:1 without the noise, finding people who genuinely motivate them and help elevate their careers through conversations that go beyond mentoring where the value flows both ways.
Two months in, working alongside Heldiney and Ivan, I've been challenging myself to think beyond shipping features and instead focus on how we grow Flynt safely to millions. The approach is simple: anchor on where we want to be in 3-6 months and work backwards from there. That means addressing challenges before they surface. For example, anticipating how performance holds up if we onboard 10x members in a month, rather than assuming everything is fine because having under 1,000 members today can mask issues that become far costlier to fix later. As three builders at Flynt, my role is less about who builds what and more about providing the technical direction that helps us make calculated, iterative decisions with high confidence in the quality, security and scalability of everything we ship.
As an engineer, I know firsthand that most networking platforms are quietly shaped around product and design circles and everyone else makes do. Since joining Flynt, one of my priorities has been making sure we pressure-test our proposition across disciplines, because what a software engineer wants from networking might not look like what a marketer, founder or product manager needs. That gap excites me and we're only just getting started.
I plan to share deep-dive of key technical challenges we have overcome in upcoming months as we evolve our product and platform, so stay tuned.
