Message your match directly on Flynt

Following your feedback during Alpha — particularly about needing to message matches directly (whether after meeting or when you're running late!) — we've moved quickly to bring you messaging on Flynt.

You can now message your Flynt matches directly! After a couple of weeks of building and tweaking, we've created a way to turn those monthly introductions into ongoing conversations. We're getting more confident in our matching abilities (though we'll never stop refining). Once matched, we want you to feel there's a natural way to stay connected through Flynt. Our vision? Those brilliant intros are just the beginning. The real magic happens in the connections you build over time, as active members of the Flynt community.

What does this mean for our Beta users

You'll spot a message button when first matched. You can also message previous connections through the Connections section or start fresh in Messages. We've kept the design clean and focused, with subtle notifications for new messages. It's a straightforward chat space built for meaningful conversations, complete with emoji reactions. Send images, use emojis (they'll appear a bit larger) — all the familiar features from your favourite messaging apps.

Starting a video call in messages

Since Flynt is about meaningful connections, we've made it easy to jump on video. Just like we set up your initial video call, you can now trigger a Google Meet directly from any chat. Look for the video icon in the top right of your chat (on mobile and web). One tap creates a Google Meet link for a quick catch-up when text isn't quite enough.
