Flynt meetups bring curated, algorithm-matched networking to real life events. Find out how 1:1 digital matches and meetups go hand in hand.

TL;DR: We're extending Flynt beyond 1:1 digital matches into curated in-person meetups. You get three algorithm-matched people to meet, with talking points revealed 3 days before. Starting in London, every couple of months. Find events at flynt-connect.com/meetups.
From the start, one of the most common things we heard from members was
great match, I’d love to continue the chat somehow
That told us two things. First, the matching was working – people don’t keep talking if the conversation isn’t relevant. Second, there was more value to unlock by extending 1:1 digital meetups, especially into shared in-person moments (which came up often in feedback). Our first meetup gave us more confidence in both ideas. Members rated it as valuable, which told us the format worked, and the quality of conversation on the night reinforced that the matching was doing its job too. On a personal level, it didn’t really feel like a networking event at all. The shared context of being part of a growing community made it easy to strike up meaningful conversations with people in the room. We now see 1:1 digital meets and in-person events as two sides of the same coin. Getting both right is core to the long-term vision.
A Flynt meetup is a small, curated in-person event for the community. You will meet new people, but you will also see familiar faces from previous 1:1 matches. We provide food, along with a light moment to reflect on themes from the community and share what we are building through a short Q&A. Everyone who attends also gets three suggested people to speak to, generated by our algorithm, lovingly named FRED. Everyone you are matched with will also have you as one of their three suggestions, so there is shared context before the conversation starts. We also generate tailored talking points for each pairing, which are revealed a few days before the event. After that, the evening is open. Meet your match, meet other people, and follow whatever conversations pull you in. After the event, your match automatically becomes a Connection on Flynt, and you can add anyone else you clicked with too.
1:1 digital works really well. It is lower friction, easier to schedule, and lets us make relevant matches across distance. In-person matters for different reasons. You read body language more easily, settle into conversation faster, and feel part of something bigger than a single call. The two formats make each other better. Meetups create more shared history for future 1:1s, and 1:1s give you a natural starting point when you walk into a meetup.
We're starting in London and running meetups every couple of months, but we'd love to bring these to other cities where our members are. If you'd like us to prioritise your city, drop us a line at hello@flynt-connect.com. The format will stay simple: a good venue, a manageable group, and just enough structure to help without getting in the way. Longer term, meetups and 1:1 matches will feed into each other more deliberately, for example the connections you make at meetups could have a higher likelihood of being your next 1:1 meet, and we'll actively call out past connections who are attending a meetup. That flywheel is what we're building towards. You can find upcoming events on your dashboard or at flynt-connect.com/meetups.
